In a devastating incident in the rubber plantation area of Kuala Wok, Pos Pasik, Kelantan, the mutilated body of an Indonesian man was discovered yesterday.

The gruesome scene was stumbled upon by a local resident en route to work in the vicinity.

The Gua Musang District Police Chief, Superintendent Sik Choon Foo, revealed that they received a distressing report about the dismembered remains at 9.30 am.

Subsequently, a comprehensive search and rescue (SAR) operation was initiated, involving collaboration with the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), the Department of Wildlife Protection and National Park (Perhilitan) of Gua Musang, and local residents.

Body parts found in multiple locations

Choon Foo informed reporters on Saturday that the SAR team located pieces of a leg approximately 500 meters from the initial discovery site in the slope area.

Further exploration led them to a second location where additional body parts and another section of a leg were found roughly 300 meters away.

Autopsy ordered at Gua Musang hospital

According to Sinar Harian, the victim’s remains were successfully recovered by the SAR team at 4.40 pm and transported to the Gua Musang Hospital Forensic Unit for a thorough autopsy.

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, Choon Foo stated that Perhilitan would persist in installing cameras and tiger traps to identify the wild animals involved in the tragic incident.
