Body of missing man found at Ulu Kiulu

Tuaran: The body of a man reported missing since August 22 in Kampung Bambangan Lama, Ulu Kiulu, here, was found on Monday.

The body of Kevin Lokuman, 32, was found by residents at 10.30am, about 3km from the village.

A spokesman of the Fire and Rescue Department’s operation centre said a team arrived at the Scene Control Centre (PKTK) at 12.50pm before going to the location where the body was found.

“They brought the body using a stretcher to the PKTK before handing over to the police at 6.14pm for further action,” he said.

Last Thursday (August 24), family members reported the victim missing at the Tamparuli police station after he failed to return home since August 22, at 5am.

According to his family, he left the house without informing family members.

A search and rescue (SAR) operation involving various agencies and members of the public was then mounted to locate the victim.
