
Police launch murder investigation after an unidentified man’s body is discovered submerged in a stream at a rubber plantation in Gua Musang.
GUA MUSANG: An unidentified male body was found in a stream within a rubber plantation in Kampung Pulai here.
Gua Musang police chief Supt Sik Choon Foo said the district police headquarters received a public call about the discovery at 2pm last Thursday.
Initial investigations at the scene indicated the victim, whose nationality remains unconfirmed, is believed to be in his 40s.
“The victim was found submerged in the water and trapped among rocks and wood,” he said in a statement today.
The body has been sent to the Forensic Unit of Gua Musang Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
The case has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for further investigation, and the motive for the murder is still under investigation.
