Kota Kinabalu: The State bodybuilding team returned with one silver and two bronze medals at the 53rd Mr Malaysia BodyBuilding Competition held in Johor recently.
The silver medal winner was Hyril Arif in the welterweight category while the bronze medals came from Rozally Golbin in the master category and Geinod Lojitin in the light heavy category.
Despite failing to achieve the two golds, two silvers and one bronze target set earlier, team manager Matiu Jungkim was happy with the overall performance of the seven-member team.
“Although we were unable to achieve our target, the athletes have given their best to finish sixth overall among the 12 states with 154 athletes competing,” he said.
