KOTA KINABALU: Bohey Dulang Island in Tun Sakaran Marine Park has been closed from June 10 to 13 following a crocodile sighting.

Sabah Parks announced the closure to allow risk mitigation operations involving the Wildlife Department and police, prioritizing public safety.

A popular tourist destination for its scenic views and hiking trail, Bohey Dulang is the park’s second-largest island, located 30 minutes from Semporna.

Crocodiles, though protected, may be removed if deemed a threat to public safety.
