THE Board of Investments (BOI) and the National Development Co. (NDC) will set up a government agency One-Stop Shop (OSS) via a self-service digital kiosk at the Philippine Innovation Hub-Marikina Enterprise Center (PIH-MEC).
This comes as the BOI signed a partnership with the NDC through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which seeks to enhance the ease of doing business.
In a statement, Trade Undersecretary and BOI Managing Head Ceferino Rodolfo said the partnership aims to make government services more accessible to Filipinos.
“This partnership marks a new chapter for the BOI and NDC as we advance our shared goal of making it easier to do business in the Philippines,” he said.
“This MOU demonstrates our commitment to making government services more accessible, efficient, and investor-friendly.”
Under the MOU, the collaboration between the two parties will be further strengthened through improved access to online services and digital resources, as well as enhanced inter-agency coordination.
This move also seeks to advance innovation, entrepreneurship and investment promotion initiatives.
“The digital kiosk will serve as a collaborative platform to promote ease of doing business in the country,” BOI Investments Assistance Center Executive Director lawyer Bobby Fondevilla said.
“Our partnership with the NDC enhances this mission by integrating investment-related services and information into the PIH-MEC.”
For its part, the BOI will be in charge of providing access to its online services, portals and information systems, as well as online channels for the inquiries of investors and stakeholders.
It will likewise ensure that digital content and service links remain up to date and functional.
The NDC, meanwhile, will be the one to provide space for the Digital Government Service Kiosk.
The agency will also cover support for basic infrastructure needs, like electricity and connectivity, facility maintenance and operational requirements.
Through the PIH-MEC, the NDC provides a platform for innovation programs and business support services.
In April 2025, the NDC established the Philippine Innovation Hub (iHub) as part of its support for startups, micro, small and medium enterprises, innovation, entrepreneurship and digitalization.
