KUALA LUMPUR – Two commercial airplanes headed for Stavanger, Norway, from Copenhagen, Denmark, were forced to turn back after alleged bomb scares.

One flight was a Scandinavian Airlines jet that had entered Norwegian airspace when it was asked to turn back.

The other was a Norwegian flight that had departed Copenhagen but was told to return shortly after takeoff.

Bernama reports that the Norwegian airline has confirmed the turnback to radio station NRK.

All passengers were evacuated upon landing

In Copenhagen, Danish police said the aircraft would be searched for dangerous objects.

The police declined to state how the alleged bomb threat was issued. – March 22, 2023
