Books on Bruneians to be unveiled at carnival

Kota Kinabalu: A few books on Sabah’s Brunei community will be unveiled at the second Baurung-Urung Carnival at Sabah International Convention Centre on Oct 28.

Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Dr Arifin Mohd Arif, said the two-day event, scheduled to be officiated by the Chief Minister, is open to everyone.

“Baurung-urung” means having a get together. The first carnival last year saw 10,000 visitors including Brunei Darussalam’s Cultural, Youth and Sports Minister Dato Seri Setia Awang Nazmi Mohammad in attendance.

“Two of the books will feature the traditional Bruneian cuisine and its language, among others.
