Botafogo owner John Textor is determined to fight off Real Madrid's attempts to sign Matheus Nascimento.

The teenage attacker is a major target for Real this summer.

However, Textor has discussed how Botafogo plan to keep hold of Matheus.

He told Reuters: "We are going to make you an offer that is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and that no boy has ever seen in Brazil.

"In addition to a very lucrative financial offer, we would offer him by contract to play on loan for three months each season in one of the clubs that I have in Europe (he owns Crystal Palace and Olympique de Lyon) so that the jump to European football is easier.

“As far as I know, the boy's father has talked to at least a dozen teams.

“If we don't manage to sign him a long contract, I prefer to sell him soon."
