Bournemouth will learn more from their defeat to Maccabi Tel Aviv during preseason.

Having beaten Hibernian with ease a few days earlier, the Cherries were brought down to earth against the Israeli side.

New boss Andoni Iraola, who faces the task of keeping Bournemouth in the Premier League, believes they will learn more from setbacks.

He told Cherries' social media: I think it is going to be a useful game for us, because we were much worse than we were the other day.

Normally for a coach, you have to take more things from this kind of game.

We're disappointed, especially for the first half the first half we were not intense enough, we were not pushing especially up front.

Second half we were a little bit better, we at least looked like a team who wanted to do certain things.

We were not versed enough probably on the ball, with the quality needed, but I think it was better, the second half."
