Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil is confident they're well placed to beat the drop.

After defeat at home to Brighton on Tuesday night, Cherries sit 18th in the table, just goal difference separating them from a spot outside the relegation zone, with nine teams still battling for survival.

O'Neil said: In terms of having a right go, I think it's the sixth game on the trot where we played a team in the top 10 and we've had a right go in all of them.

We took a decent amount of points from them and have put ourselves in a decent position to have a real good crack at the last few games."

On dropping back into the bottom three, O'Neil added: The boys are positive, of course. Whether you're in the bottom three or not, as I said, we've just played six teams from the top 10, so it's a real tough run.

When you go through a run like that, it's possible to not pick up many points and we have won a couple, so we've had a real good go in that.

It doesn't mean that the next ones are going to be any easier, as I'm sure Brighton found (against us). When you play teams that are down the bottom, they put up a real good fight.

So going to Leicester will be tough, no doubt. They'll be scrapping for everything.

It will be another tough game."
