Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil was pleased with Illia Zabarnyi's performance for victory over Southampton midweek.
The Ukraine centre-half joined in January from Dynamo Kyiv for 24m.
O'Neil told the Daily Echo: Zaba coming on, Marcos (Senesi) on a yellow card and had some cramp.
"To throw Zaba on for his first real taste.1
I know Brighton at home for a short spell, but it was a big ask for Zaba to go on in that sort of atmosphere and intensity. I thought he was excellent."
