The Premier League club are very interested in the Hungary international, who is similar in style to Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies.
Per The Mail, Bournemouth are in talks with Alkmaar and a deal worth around 18 million could be close.
The Cherries are ready to pay such a huge sum for a defender as they are big believers in Kerkez's quality.
They feel that he has the class and ability to thrive in the Premier League, where he will have plenty of time and space to run up and down the wing.
Kerkez was previously linked to AC Milan, but a move never materialized.
