An anonymous user posted a confession on a Facebook page, saying that he gives his girlfriend a RM2,000 allowance every month.
In his post he asked:
“How much money do I have to give to my girlfriend to be considered as a good boyfriend? I earn about RM6,000 a month and would give my partner RM2,000 as her allowance. Is this too little?
“When we go out and have date nights, bubble tea, vacations or celebrate any festive seasons, I’d also pay for it as well.
“How much money do you guys give? She’s working as an admin and her monthly salary is not a lot. I just want her to live happier with lesser worries”
Many netizens were shocked that he would even give such a big amount every month and here’s what some of them said:
“Ditch your girlfriend and come to me! Why haven’t I met a guy like that?”
“Do you give your parents RM2,000 as allowance??”
“I need a partner like that, my ex is so stingy that he’d ask me back for the RM8 I used.”
“You already have a girlfriend, but do you need a boyfriend?”
As social media users, we’d occasionally stumble across different types of ‘confessions’ on Facebook. Some may be serious, amusing, or outright ridiculous. As it’s an anonymous post, we also remind everyone to take it with a pinch of salt.
