Xiaomi Malaysia has launched the new Xiaomi 15T series yesterday, bringing in the latest tech and hardware goodies to the local market while maintaining its well-known price-to-performance ratio of the “T” family.
The lineup consists of the base 15T and the stronger 15T Pro, with both sharing a lot of similarities, while the latter has better things in certain aspects, such as a higher refresh rate on the display, the use of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC, better cameras, and more.
Speaking of cameras, Leica continues to be the choice of partner here, with the Pro rocking that Leica 5x Pro telephoto lens. But both phones are set to be the top-performing models in their price category, supporting 4K HDR10+ recording, while the Pro pushes further with 4K 120fps slow motion and 10-bit Log recording with LUT input.
Aside from debuting the next iteration of Xiaomi HyperOS which is the 3 with faster app launch, new widgets, a redesigned lock screen, and smarter interconnectivity between devices, there’s also this Xiaomi Astral Communication tech that allows two Xiaomi 15T devices talk to each other without WiFi or cellular of up to 1.9km (Pro) and 1.3km (base).
They also come with Surge T1S Tuner, Super Antenna Array, and AI-driven signal switching built for strong signals wherever the user goes.
One can also find the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop thermal solution keeping the device heat in check even during heavy workloads like games, as well as the package getting wrapped in a sleek glass-fiber design with Gorilla Glass 7i protection and IP68 water and dust resistance up to 3 meters.
The Pro even has added drop protection thanks to the aluminum alloy frame.
