This is the moment two brave Metropolitan Police officers confront a man armed with a knife seconds before they are seriously injured in a violent attack.
PC Alanna Mulhall and PC Joe Gerrard, assisted by their colleagues, stood between the man and members of the public during a frenzied attack on 16 September, 2022.
Both officers were severely injured and had to undergo surgery for their injuries.
They have since returned to duty and have now been nominated for a national police bravery award.
