Brazil national team coach Fernando Diniz has heaped praise on a Premier League midfielder.
The temporary head coach of the national team believes Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz can be part of a new look side.
Luiz has been outstanding for Villa over the past 12 months, winning the club's Player of the Year award.
Speaking during a news conference, Diniz said: Douglas is one of the highlights of the Premier League, he's a player who's been monitored here for a long time. He's been in the first team, an Olympic champion.
I've known him since he was very young and he's going through the best moment of his career.
It's a well deserved call-up. He's a player with a lot of character and has everything it takes to start a new era with the national team."
