Flávio Bolsonaro, Brazil’s defeated right-wing presidential candidate, has landed in Florida. He lost Sunday’s election to incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Despite a Supreme Court order to hand over his passports, Bolsonaro left Brazil and landed in Miami via Ecuador, a day after the Trump administration granted visas to him and his family.
Flávio is the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, a Trump ally now serving a prison sentence for plotting a coup after losing the 2022 election to Lula.
Flávio faces his own investigations, including alleged money laundering and millions in dealings with banker Vorcaro.
