
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC’s striker Ramon Machado is set to leave the Rhinos based on a statement posted on Sabah FC Facebook page on Friday afternoon.
Sabah FC’s general manager Mohd Joh Wid, who issued the statement, said it is with a heavy heart that striker Ramon Machado will end his career with Sabah FC.
“On behalf of the club and all the people of Sabah FC, I would like to thank Ramon for his contribution to our beloved team.
“Since his first appearance, Ramon has managed to capture the hearts of the Rhinos supporters with his beautiful goals and assists. It is certain that we will miss the quick and agile movements of this Brazilian native on the pitch.

No word on when Ramon will be leaving but it is likely that the FA Cup tie with Terengganu FC tonight (Saturday) could be his Rhinos swansong.
The 33-year-old player from Brazil who joined the team in 2023 has contributed 12 goals in 17 matches in his first season and since the start of this season he has scored one league goal and a hat-trick in the FA Cup win against KL Rovers FC. ‘
