Brentford boss Thomas Frank explained Ivan Toney's absence for victory over West Ham.

Toney missed just his third game of the season on Sunday.

"It's a hamstring injury," Frank confirmed. "We'll assess him during the week and, hopefully, he's going to be available for Tottenham. That's what we're working towards."

In Toney's absence, Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and Kevin Schade stepped up, with the former two scoring the goals for the 2-0 win.

Frank added: "I think the front three looked exciting. Kevin, Wissa and Bryan together looked good.

"I would obviously like Ivan in the team, but you need other players that can step in and Wissa, again today, stepped in and scored. Fantastic."
