Brentford haven't given up on securing Christian Eriksen to a new contract.

The Dane, signed in January, will see his deal expire this month.

Eriksen has been offered a longer-term contract on improved terms that would make him Brentford's highest-paid player.

That offer remains on the table and the Dane is expected to make a decision over his future upon his return from holiday later this month.

“I have different offers and options, which we are considering, and then we make a decision," he said. “I would love to play Champions League football again. I know how much fun it is, but it isn't essential for me."
