Arsenal's secured an emphatic 3-0 win over Brentford last weekend, revenge for last year's loss to Bees.
Following Brentford's victory that night, Toney tweeted: "Nice kickabout with the boys", with Gabriel posting the same tweet on Sunday night.
"Once was funny, second time was a bit cringey," said Toney, who was speaking ahead of England's Nations League matches against Germany and Italy.
"I bit my tongue, I wanted to reply, I wanted to nibble. But fair play to them, they played very well and they're a different Arsenal side to what we played before. They're going very well so fair play to them."
