Brentford striker Ivan Toney has appointed leading KC Nick De Marco to defend him against the FA's charges of breaching their betting rules on 262 occasions.
Toney faces a six-month suspension after admitting many of the charges, but is hoping that De Marco's involvement can help him limit the length of any ban.
De Marco has a proven track record in defending leading players in disciplinary cases against the FA, says the Daily Mail.
He won Newcastle's legal battle with the Premier League which enabled their takeover by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.
