Brentford are ready to offer Ivan Toney a new contract.

The Mirror says Manchester United are one of many teams who have been keeping an eye on Toney and the Bees hope a new contract would dissuade them from making a move.

Despite having three years left on his deal, Brentford know how important it is to ensure Toney stays at the club.

To show his importance, they are set to be offering him 'a figure north of six figures a week'.

Toney made the move from Peterborough United to Brentford in 2020 and was influential in helping the side achieve promotion to the Premier League for the first-time in in May 2021.

The forward broke the Championship record for goals scored in a single season with an incredible 31 in the 2020-21 campaign - which has now been surpassed by Fulham talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic.
