SANDAKAN: Datuk Thien Fui Yun said Sabah will only have a brighter future if represented parliament by a political party from Sabah.
“We are not going anywhere if we continued to be represented by parties that are controlled by those in the peninsula.
“Sabah will only get the respect we deserve if we have a Sabah party that is bold and loud in parliament. Only then Putrajaya will listen to our demands,” he said.
Thien a former PBS Vice President, when he joined politics, he had the determination and hope for a better future for Sabah through a local party.
“But I witnessed how Sabahans made a wrong choice, again and again, making Sabah small in the eyes of those in power in Putrajaya because they control the Sabah seats through their parties.
“As long as our political parties are controlled by their heads in the Peninsula, we are going to continue to be bullied?” he said.
It has become growingly evident that voting for parties that are controlled by their headquarters in Kuala Lumpur only make Sabah bow down to those in power in Putrajaya, he said.
