Brighton are making a surprise approach to sign Arthur Melo this summer from Juventus.
The Brazilian was on loan at Liverpool last season, but only made a single appearance.
Melo was absent with injury for most of the campaign, but is now fully fit and looking to resurrect his career.
Per Globo Esporte, Melo is ready for a return to the Premier League, with Brighton seen as an option.
Arthur may even be available on a free transfer, with Juventus willing to cancel his contract.
Melo has a year left on his deal, but the 26-year-old has such a low value that getting his salary off the wage bill may be their post option.
