Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi accepts Arsenal deserved their first-half penalty in Saturday's 3-0 home defeat.

Fans were angry as Brighton fullback Tariq Lamptey was ruled to have fouled Gabriel Jesus.

But De Zerbi said afterwards: The penalty was clear and we move on trying to work better to improve our young players, to recover our eight injured players, and we try to compete to reach a European position for another season."

"When it was pointed out Lamptey appeared to get the ball, De Zerbi added: I don't know. I thought it was clear but I don't want to speak about the decision of the referee.

We lost not for the referee's responsibility."
