Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi says Bart Verbruggen deserved his debut in defeat to West Ham on Saturday.
De Zerbi went with the Holland U21 goalkeeper over Jason Steele.
De Zerbi said: They will play depending on the opponent, depending on the physical condition, but I believe in Bart the same way as Jason.
They will play 50% of the games this year.
We are lucky to have in our squad two great goalkeepers."
