Brighton chief Tony Bloom says he's brought new manager Roberto de Zerbi up to speed on the club's history.
De Zerbi was named manager of Brighton this week.
Bloom said: “I did very briefly talk about the history going back a little bit longer and it was only 25 years ago we almost didn't have a club.
“I think that was important. We didn't spend long on that but I did mention that it used to be a four-hour round trip to get to a home game at Gillingham.
“Having that knowledge and understanding of how the last 25 years have gone, that was the first few minutes of our conversation."
