Brighton chief exec Paul Barber has joked about Chelsea's interest in their players.
After selling Marc Cucurella to Chelsea last summer, Brighton lost manager Graham Potter during this season.
Barber oversaw Cucurella's 65m departure.
He said, "I like to pick up the phone for Chelsea, except when it's to talk about our coaches.
"I have told the cleaning staff to be careful, Chelsea can also sign them! For a club of our size, it is only possible to compete if we sell well."
