Brighton defender Adam Webster admits his side will relish taking on Chelsea in midweek.
The Albion are set to take on a Blues side in absolute crisis at the start of the season.
After their weekend loss to Aston Villa, Chelsea are sitting in 14th place in the Premier League table.
Asked about their Carabao Cup clash in midweek, Webster said: Maybe it adds a little bit more spice to it [Brighton players going to Chelsea in recent months]!
We are going to try to play our stuff and get through.
We want to go as far as we can in every competition and we have got a strong squad.
It's another chance to show the manager what we're about. Everyone is fighting for their place."
