De Zerbi has put in a call to Inter chief Piero Ausilio for Asllani.
The midfielder only arrived a year ago from Empoli, but could be tempted by a move to Brighton, where he'd be guaranteed a regular game.
Inter would be willing to sell, though will insist at a starting price of 35m.
