Former Sassuolo coach Roberto de Zerbi is locked in talks with Brighton.
TMW says the Italian is a top target for Brighton as they seek to replace Graham Potter after his departure for Chelsea.
Talks kicked off with De Zerbi last week and are ongoing.
Brighton are also maintaining contact with Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen.
However, De Zerbi is the favourite for the post.
