Brighton are eager to bring in new manager Roberto de Zerbi's selected backroom staff.

De Zerbi will be assisted by Andrea Maldera, 51, who worked with him in Ukraine and chief executive Paul Barber confirmed that the club are applying for work permits for other members of his backroom staff.

Barber said, “[Under-21s head coach] Andrew Crofts will work between the under-21s and the first team to give further support which they need to bed into the club quickly.

"The break in fixtures gives everyone that bit of time to get used to this new environment."
