Brighton striker Danny Welbeck says Mason Holgate deserved his red card for Sheffield United.
Holgate was sent off for the Blades early on before the visitors struck as Facundo Buonanotte, Danny Welbeck and Simon Adingra (2) struck. The Blades also conceded an own goal.
After the 5-0 win, Welbeck said: "He's obviously won the ball but he's followed through.
"It was one of those challenges where I did think it was a red card straight away.
"The ref didn't award the red card from the off, but I think the correct decision got made in the end."
