Brighton U21 coach Andrew Crofts admits Matt Everitt faces a big year ahead.
Everitt signed a new deal with Brighton last week.
And he has been challenged to show what he can offer.
Crofts said: “Last season was a really difficult one for Matt with injury, so he didn't get a decent opportunity to show what he can do at our level.
“We're hopeful that his injuries are behind him now and he can focus fully on his football."
