- Two British men, Kial Garth Robinson and Piran Ezra Wilkinson, have been jailed for a combined 20 years after being found guilty of smuggling cocaine into Bali, Indonesia.
- Robinson, 29, received an 11-year sentence, and Wilkinson, 48, was handed a nine-year sentence, with both also ordered to pay a fine of approximately £45,000 or serve an additional 190 days in jail.
- Robinson was arrested at Bali International Airport on 3 September 2025 after customs officers discovered 1.321g of cocaine in his bag.
- Both men told authorities that Robinson had been recruited into the scheme by a man named Santos to transport the drugs from Barcelona to Bali.
- Indonesia has some of the world's strictest drug trafficking laws, with the death penalty being the most severe punishment, though it has not been implemented since 2016.
