British national caught up in devastating Nepal floods rescued by army

• A British national is among 273 foreign citizens rescued by air by the Nepali Army following devastating floods in the country.
• The death toll from the Himalayan disaster has passed 1,000, with around 4,000 people still missing, including 583 foreign nationals.
• The disaster was triggered on 26 August when a glacier collapse sent ice, rock, and mud through Nepal's border region with China.
• Joint search-and-rescue teams from Nepal, India, and China have rescued more than 11,000 people so far.
