  • Born Florence Catherine Currier in 1924, she began her career as a nightclub singer before achieving stardom in Paris and securing a recording contract with Polydor.
  • Morgan was a frequent presence on US television, appearing 50 times on The Ed Sullivan Show, and had a hit song with 'Fascination'.
  • Her Broadway credits included productions such as Can-Can, The King and I, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
  • She was married to influential film producer Jerry Weintraub, with whom she adopted three daughters, and largely retired from performing in 1973.
