
SANDAKAN: A 36-year-old Bruneian man died in a "drag battle" event at the Sandakan Turf Club Circuit, Mile 5, on Saturday evening.
Sandakan Acting Police Chief, Supt. Ramasamy A/L Kuppan said that the victim was driving a Honda vehicle in the incident at approximately 4.44 pm,.
Advertisement"The results of the initial police investigation found that at the time of the incident, the vehicle driven by the victim, a participant in the Drag Battle event, went out of control and skidded to the left of the race track when it crossed the finish line.
"The victim was trapped in the vehicle he was driving and was extricated by the fire department," he said.
