
RANAU: Sixteen people had a brush with death when a cargo truck went out of control and rammed into at least four vehicles before crashing onto an electricity pole near here on Saturday.
The fire department said a three-ton lorry carrying groceries, a Perodua Bezza and a sightseeing bus were among the vehicles involved in the accident.
The 61 year-old injured lorry driver was trapped and was pulled out by members of the public while the 15 other victims were reported to be safe.
