In a shocking incident that unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, two men sustained severe injuries when a group of 11 masked intruders violently broke into their home located on Jalan Bunga Melur, Batu 14, in Puchong. The brazen attack occurred just past midnight, leaving the victims in dire condition and the local community in disbelief.

Subang Jaya's deputy police chief, Supt Mohd Fairus Jaafar, provided details about the attack in a statement released yesterday. He confirmed that police apprehended six suspects, aged between 23 and 28, at 8 PM the same day. During the arrest, authorities seized a machete believed to have been used in the attack. The suspects have been remanded for three days, starting today, and are being investigated under Sections 394 and 326 of the Penal Code. These sections pertain to voluntarily causing hurt while committing robbery and causing injury with a weapon.

The deputy police chief highlighted that the arrested individuals have prior criminal records, including offenses related to drugs. This background raises concerns about the potential involvement of organized criminal elements in the attack.

According to Mohd Fairus, the horrifying sequence of events began when the group of masked men, armed with machetes, arrived in three vehicles. They easily accessed the property by opening the unlocked gate and door. Once inside, the intruders launched a brutal assault on the victims, aged 31 and 38, hacking at them repeatedly in the living room. After inflicting severe injuries to various parts of the victims’ bodies, including their legs and arms, the attackers fled the scene in their cars.

Emergency services were called promptly, and both victims were rushed to Sultan Idris Shah Hospital in Serdang for urgent medical treatment. Fortunately, they are now reported to be in stable condition, although the extent of their injuries remains a significant concern.

This incident has left the local community in shock, prompting calls for heightened security measures and increased vigilance. In response to the attack, Supt Mohd Fairus urged anyone with information related to the incident to come forward. He encouraged members of the public to contact the police at 03-78627222, which is the Subang Jaya District Control Centre. For those wishing to speak directly with the investigating officer, ASP Khairulazizi Ismail can be reached at 019-2817820.

As the investigation continues, authorities are working diligently to uncover the identities of the remaining intruders and ensure justice for the victims. The community is left grappling with the fear that such violence could occur in their own neighborhoods, underscoring the need for ongoing discussions about safety and crime prevention.
