Global K-pop phenomenon BTS is set to return to the Philippines in 2027, marking its first full-group concert in the country in a decade.
BigHit Music announced the dates and cities for the group’s upcoming world tour on Tuesday via its official social media platforms, confirming Manila as one of the stops. BTS is scheduled to perform on March 13 and 14, 2027.
Details on the venue and ticket sales will be announced at a later date, according to concert promoter Live Nation Philippines.
Already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated live music events for Filipino fans, the announcement carries particular weight for ARMY, the group’s fandom. The tour follows the completion of the members’ mandatory military service and effectively signals a new chapter for the group after several years of limited collective activity.
BTS last performed as a complete group in Manila on May 6 and 7, 2017, when it brought the “BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour” to the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Since then, the group’s global stature has expanded significantly, propelled by chart-topping releases and sold-out stadium tours across Asia, North America and Europe.
While the group has not returned as a unit since 2017, Filipino fans have continued to show strong support to BTS members.
In April 2025, J-Hope staged a two-night solo concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena as part of his “Hope On The Stage” tour, drawing large crowds and underscoring the Philippines’ place within BTS’ international fan base.
Formed in 2013, BTS is composed of seven members — Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook — and is known for music that blends hip-hop, pop and disco influences with themes of youth, identity and resilience. Among its most widely recognized songs are “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Boy With Luv,” “Fake Love” and “Permission to Dance.”
For Filipino ARMY, the 2027 concerts represent more than a tour stop — they mark a long-awaited homecoming for a group whose influence has continued to grow even in absence.
