PETALING JAYA: The government has announced a 2% reduction in income tax collection.
Those earning below RM100,000 per year will also get an e-wallet top-up of RM100 next year.
Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said those earning between RM50,001 to RM70,000 per year will be paying 11% in income tax instead of 13%.
For those earning RM70,001 to RM100,000 per year, their new income tax rate is 19% instead of 21%.
