SEPANG, Sept 18 - Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar expressed confidence that Budget 2026 won’t disappoint Malaysians, especially civil servants.

“The Budget must have good news, but it’s still a secret… we can’t reveal it yet. However, we are confident it will bring positive outcomes,” he said briefly when asked about his expectations for Budget 2026.

He said this when met by reporters after opening the Fourth National Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Research Conference here today.

Shamsul Azri said the “good news” to be announced is a reflection of the Madani Government’s commitment to remain a caring and people-centric administration.

Budget 2026, scheduled to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on October 10, will be the fourth Madani budget. It is designed to restore fiscal resilience, strengthen economic fundamentals, and improve the people’s living standards.

The Budget will continue to focus on the three main Madani Economy pillars - raising the ceiling for national growth, improving the people’s living standards, and driving reform, especially in good governance.
