In today’s Budget 2026 presentation (10 October) by Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Parliament, he announced that the government is proposing vehicle tax exemptions in Langkawi and Labuan be limited to vehicles valued not exceeding RM300,000 effective 1 January 2026.
This is to prevent luxury vehicle owners are increasingly taking advantage of vehicle tax exemptions in Langkawi and Labuan.
