Kota Kinabalu: Former Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin conveyed his condolences to the family of Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) journalist Nur Adika Bujang, who died last Sunday.
Bung, who is Kinabatangan MP, said he was informed of Nur Adika’s passing. She died at her residence in Taman Perumahan IJM, Mile 6, Sandakan.
“I was surprised to receive this sad news. I knew the late Nur Adika was committed and dedicated to her job as a journalist and often attended the functions I officiated, especially in Sandakan and Kinabatangan.
“She was a friendly person,” he said after attending the Sabah Umno Zone 1 Iftar Ceremony in Kota Belud, Kudat, Kota Marudu and Tuaran at the R&R restaurant in Kota Belud.

Nur Adika, 45, hailed from Kampung Petagas, Kota Kinabalu, and had been working with Bernama for almost 20 years since Oct 31, 2005.
On Jan 1, 2009, she was appointed as a journalist in Sandakan.
Meanwhile, Bernama Chief Executive Officer Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, described Nur Adika as an excellent correspondent who was bilingual and creative in her writing.
This was evidenced by the three Excellent Service Awards she received in 2014, 2020 and 2023.
