KOTA KINABALU: The five Sabah Umno assemblymen who disagreed with the party’s decision to withdraw support from Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor had urged the party’s state chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin to resign.
They claimed Bung’s actions had tarnished “the party’s good name.”
“We were shocked by the actions of certain parties, especially the Sabah Umno liaison committee chairman who tried to topple the legitimate Sabah Government,” they said in a joint statement, Saturday.
The five are Putatan MP cum Tanjung Keramat assemblyman Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, Pantai Dalit’s Datuk Jasnih Daya, Sugut’s Datuk James Ratib, Sindumin’s Datuk Dr Yusuf Yacob and Tempasuk’s Datuk Mohd Arsad Bistari.
