Burnley boss Vincent Kompany stands by comments about the standard of refereeing last week.

Kompany complained about a fall in standards after he was sent off during their 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

Before Saturday's clash at Everton, Kompany said: "My comments on the standard of refereeing was just an objective and fair assessment.

"But there is a lot of things we should have done better this season as well. It's life.

"I think there are ways to make it constructive, which is definitely not the way I did it on Saturday, but it is the way I am trying to do it now. But I have to move on. My main thing now is the game."

Kompany, who would not be drawn on whether he intended to appeal against the charge, added: "It's really far from my mind at the moment. I will dive into it once I have finished preparing for this game and probably have a few chats internally with the club but other than that what is done is done and it is about the next game now."
