Bayer Munich are finalising the appointment of Vincent Kompany as new coach.

The Sun says Bayern were discussing compensation with Burnley chairman Alan Pace yesterday.

Kompany will succeed Thomas Tuchel at Bayern, with the latter agreeing to step down earlier this season.

Former Hamburg defender Kompany led Burnley to promotion at first attempt before this season's relegation.

Before the Clarets, Kompany had two seasons in charge of Anderlecht.
